SitBaby, Inc is a childcare placement company created to fill an existing gap in the current childcare market and to provide an answer to the increasing demand for quality childcare from growing numbers of Chicago parents. SitBaby's entrance into the childcare placement industry stemmed from Maggie and Andrea's professional expertise in the area of early childhood education, child development and personal babysitting experiences. SitBaby is an online childcare referral service which connects prescreened babysitters with families in and around the city of Chicago. Parents are seeking reliable babysitting solutions and SitBaby can fulfill those needs.
 Maggie Degand
President/Co-Founder SitBaby, Inc
In 2003, Maggie received her Bachelor of Science in Education from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. She moved to Chicago after graduation to begin her teaching career. For the past 9 years, Maggie has worked as a Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten teacher in the Chicago Public Schools. During this time she received her Master of Science in Early Childhood Education in 2008 from the Erikson Institute of Child Development. In 2010, she earned her Master of Science in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education. Maggie most recently completed her English as a Second Language Certification, also from the American College of Education.
Maggie is bringing her early childhood education skills and experience to SitBaby, Inc. She is passionate about teaching and has devoted her career to developing young minds. Not only does Maggie enjoy teaching young children, she is also an adjunct faculty member at Kendall College where she teaches in the Department of Early Childhood Education. Maggie and her husband live in the west loop neighborhood in Chicago.
 Andrea Malyk
Chief Financial Officer/Co-Founder SitBaby, Inc
In 2003, Andrea received her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science Education from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. After graduating from college she worked as a Business Development Coordinator, helping to establish a Homecare business in Northeast Ohio before moving to Chicago in 2004. Andrea has 3 years of active involvement in managment and small business experience. For the past 7 years Andrea has worked in the Health and Fitness field, has managed a Corporate Fitness Center and has worked as a Personal Trainer for clients ranging in age from young adults to senior citizens. She has also actively developed and implemented fitness programs for children of all ages. During this time she received her Master of Education in Elementary Education from DePaul University, graduating in 2007.
Andrea has over 10 years experience teaching, babysitting and coaching children ages 4 to 18 years old. She is also very active in the Ohio State Alumni Club where she holds the position of President for the the Chicago area.

Collectively, Maggie and Andrea have over 10 years of experience in the teaching industry, both having Master's Degrees in Education. Their combined extensive knowledge of what children and families need when looking for childcare and their babysitting experience enables SitBaby to offer families superior childcare providers.
